Is there any nation that can boast of the kind of human resources NIGERIA possesses? For me it’s easy to say “few nation”, especially when you check the nations who are boasting of the “human resources” than NAIJA. On a second check, most of the people who are making things happen in other countries are of “naija” origin. From science, medicine, business, economy, sports and even peace-keeping missions, “naijas” have done excellently well. But it is painful that while we contribute our best to “world frontiers” we still have issues at home. One of it is SPORTS! In this edition of “sport corner” we throwing the editorials open for discussions to our esteem readers to contribute through our “forum or chat room” on ‘WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR SPORTS ADMINISTRATORS”? In last months, our “sports athletes” have been making us proud but none of their achievement can be traced to “good administration” but rather it is just their” individual effort” that is landing them their ACHEIVEMENT and VICTORY SONGS. In the past till this moment, we are loosing our best athletes to other countries of the world. Weightlifters, sprinters, footballers, pugilists, wrestlers, basketballers, etc have all been lost to more organize sporting cautious countries. It’s really “sickening” to see people with NAIJA NAMES on “top of trophy or medal podium” and yet national anthem and flag of other countries are been played and flown for them. “YOU CAN SEND YOUR WELL WRITTEN CONTRIBUTIONS TO SPORT@IKEDENAIJA.COM.
